I grew up living in Birmingham, then Felixstowe in Suffolk, moving to London at 19 then to Luton in Bedfordshire 3 years later. I studied for degree in Analytical Chemistry there, then went on to train as a primary school teacher.
I studied for the ministry part time with the Eastern Region Ministry Course whilst teaching. After finishing college in 2010 I moved to Shrewsbury with my wife Sue. We love the town with it’s mixture of historic buildings, river, nearby countryside for dog walking and cycling, and the buzz of creative energy reflected in the many different festivals and events that happen here.
I enjoy all aspects of ministry, especially those that bring me alongside people of all ages in their day-to-day lives. I believe that worshipping God is something that is part of all aspects of our lives. I try to live this out and encourage others to do the same.
The Bible verse is I try to live by is Micah 6:8 which, from The Message, says ‘But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don’t take yourself too seriously – take God seriously’.
